The Grace and Truth in Calvary    John 1: 14-17; 19: 16-37

Four passages from John 19 speak of the fulfillment of what is written ..

1.  v. 24:  Psalms 22:18  “Divided my garments”  [took our shame, clothed w/ righteousness…]  Isa.  61:10   Rom 4:4-8

2.  v.28: “I thirst”  this is Psalm 69:21  [took my poison/bitterness; receive his blessing]

3.  v. 31-36  “Not a bone broken”   Exo. 12:46, Num. 9:12, Ps. 34 [the whole lamb, for the whole family]

4.  v. 37  “Look on Him whom they have pierced”  Zech. 12:10-13:1  [pierced by my sin, a fountain was opened]
